BARRE

It started in London in 1959 when former ballerina, Lotte Berk, suffered a severe back injury. With the help of an Osteopath, she combined her knowledge of ballet barre training with rehabilitative therapy, and The Lotte Berk Method of the exercise was born. In 1971, the method was introduced to the US by one of Berk’s students, Lydia Bach. This method of exercise eventually came to be known as The Bar Method.

Barre is a workout routine that combines elements of ballet, pilates, and yoga. By merging these three workout routines, barre classes are both efficient and effective. Choreographed to upbeat music, barre classes incorporate handheld weights, core balls, ballet barre, and resistance bands. Barre classes will help give you the physique of a dancer, creating long, strong, lean muscles that help you stand up taller and be stronger!

Mosaic Barre is a unique style of barre that focuses on creating a mind-body workout. Classes are small and therefore customized to meet the needs of all clients. Mosaic Barre classes focus on using small movements to help you get stronger. These small movements bring a new level of awareness to the body that you don’t get in regular strength exercise. Small movements are flushed out with large range movements, followed by restorative stretching. This combination of training has clients leaving Mosaic Barre classes feeling stronger, taller, and more prepared for their daily life. Sign up today by contacting;
